This is a list of all issues with QuickShift that I’m currently aware of. If you experience any problems not listed, please let me know. I would like QuickShift to work with as my application windows as humanly possible, but I have already made peace with the fact that not every application will kneel before the power and awe that QuickShift exudes.
- WinAmp - QuickShift can minimize WinAmp, but cannot move it. I’ll definitely be looking at this one asap since I’m an avid WinAmp user.
- Windows Media Player – Occasionally, if QuickShift moves WMP while playing a video, the video may be displayed off-center until you click the window with your mouse.
- VirtualBox - The main UI doesn’t have a problem, but virtual machine windows do not respond to QuickShift. Due to the specialized nature of virtual machine windows, I have no plans on addressing this.
- Media Monkey – Doesn’t quite respond correctly to QuickShift. Issue seems similar to WinAmp and WMP. I’m noticing a trend…
- Pandora - Got a report that Pandora ignores QuickShift commands.
- QuickTime - Attempts to move a QuickTime window results in a “No window is currently active” notice.
